With care assistants in 24 hour attendance, there is a regular keep-fit activity program with visits by hair dressers, chiropodists and therapists. Residents are encouraged to use the courtesy bus to the nearby mediaeval market town of Alnwick and surrounding villages. Including Beadnell, Seahouses and Bamburgh, with a beautiful heritage coast line .

The Grange is fully fitted to cater for its elderly residents, having a lift between floors with a nurse call system available to every resident. There are many en-suite single rooms and twin bedrooms for couples. With is a fail safe system in operation, regulating radiators and water, to prevent accidental scalding. The Grange is ideal for long & short term stays, allowing carer's a well earned break knowing that their elderly relatives are in the safe hands of the caring professionals.

Category of Care Provided:

The Grange is registered to care for 24 elderly residents, both male and female.
Category of provision is 'Care Home', providing care for individuals over 65.
Registered to care for elderly, frail and dementia residents.

At the Grange, we normally have a staff compliment of 21 - 22. Consisting of the Registered Manager, Care staff and domicillary staff, administration staff and a comprehensive support team. Our Manager, Mrs. Julie Stephenson is registered with C.S.C.I and has worked at The Grange for several years. Our care staff either hold NVQ Level 2 or 3 in 'Direct Care' or are working toward these qualifications.
Our catering team have all completed their basic food hygiene and other relevant courses in menu planning and nutrition for elderly people. All new staff joining our organisation are encouraged to train up to NVQ level 2. in Direct Care. Julie Stephenson is strongly supported by Dawn Angus.
