With village services and transport available, 'The Grange' rests peacefully in the picturesque village of Rennington, next to the ancient and medieval town of Alnwick, in the heart of Northumberland.

The Grange provides long and short term sympathetic care, in homely surroundings where residents are encouraged to live a full, happy and dignified life. In comfortable rooms we encourage residents to bring personal possessions and favorite items. Such as a favorite ornament, picture or armchair. Where residents can enjoy fond memories secure in the caring atmosphere, provided by the professional team at 'The Grange'.

'The Grange' is owned by People First Care Ltd and is run by the Registered Manager Mrs. Julie Stephenson and the Directors, Simon and Sarah Fitton.

Our aim is to provide social and personal care in a safe and homely environment, providing the highest standard of accommodation and facilities, promoting independence and choice for elderly people over the age of 65 years. We are registered by the 'Commission for Social Care Inspection' to provide care for 24 elderly residents.

We achieve the highest standards of care by providing:

A building equipped for the purpose & providing a high standard of décor and amenities.
An appropriate training schedule for all staff, embracing the ethos of the care home.
A vehicle to support residents on outings and official visits
Developing a care plan for individual residents needs and involving their appointed advocate
Providing a good standard of meals, taking into consideration the personal choices of the resident
Providing a high standard of care 24 hours a day. (we do not provide nursing unless it is under the guidance of the G.P. and the district Nurse
Prospective residents are welcome to stay for a trial period, to sample the warm and friendly atmosphere of The Grange before taking up residents within the home.
